Endovascular navigation is a succession of choices.
Every curve. Every bifurcation. Every change in anatomy can determine the path to the target.
Guidewires have always been essential to creating that path. Yet navigating complex vascular anatomies requires physicians to continuously adapt the direction of their devices.
At BCV Systems®, we asked a different question:
What if the guidewire could give physicians greater control over which path to take?
Active guidance starts at the tip
Developed by Basecamp Vascular, G0 integrates active mechatronic technology directly into the guidewire, enabling controlled orientation of its distal tip during endovascular navigation.
Using Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuators, the technology allows physicians to activate tip deflection on demand, providing an additional means of controlling guidewire direction while navigating vascular anatomy.
No autonomous navigation. No robotic system at the bedside. Just physician-controlled, on-demand deflection.
Not movement for the sake of movement.
Movement with direction.
Rethinking endovascular guidance
BCV Systems® is developing active mechatronic guidewires designed to support controlled access and navigation during minimally invasive endovascular procedures.
By integrating active deflection directly into the guidewire, G0 introduces a different approach to one of the fundamental challenges of endovascular intervention: reaching the intended treatment site through complex vascular pathways.
Because when access is complex, the ability to navigate the path matters.
G0: Active guidance starts at the tip.
